About Mitchi

Where the game came from, and how these rules were reconstructed.

Mitchi was learnt while travelling in Spain, though not from a Spanish player. Where it came from before that is not known, and this site does not pretend it is a traditional Spanish game.

These rules are a reconstruction. Some were remembered, some were recovered by asking the people who played. Where a rule had to be settled rather than recalled, it has been settled the way the game was actually played.

There is also a private vocabulary. Hands have nicknames that mean nothing to anyone who was not at the table. They are not part of the game, but they are written down anyway.

Eight sections, from setup to the end of the game.
