Scoring

Points per round

Mitchis in a roundPoints in the pot
01 point
12 points
24 points

Mitchi points count whoever rolled them. The worst hand takes the pot and starts the next round.

Points in a tie-break

  1. Tied players only.
  2. One roll each, not up to three.
  3. The pot doubles before the roll.
  4. The order reverses, starting with the last player to roll.
  5. Each Mitchi rolled adds 2 more points to the pot.
  6. Still level? Repeat. The pot doubles again and the order reverses again.

Point limit

The game ends as soon as any player reaches the point limit, usually 25. Fewest points wins. If players are level on fewest points, they roll one hand each and the better hand wins.

Terms

Mitchi
The game, and also its best hand: a 2 and a 1.
Hand
The two dice you finish your turn with.
Roll
One throw of one or both dice. Re-rolling a single die still counts as a roll.
Roll limit
The number of rolls available to each player in a round, set by the starting player.
Worst hand
The lowest-ranked hand. At the end of a round, the player left with it takes the pot.
Worst hand so far
The worst hand during a round, while players are still to roll. What you have to beat, and it can still change.
The pot
The points at stake in the current round.
Take the pot
To add every point in the pot to your score.
Tie-break
A play-off between players level on the worst hand.
Points
The running score. Points are bad: you take them by losing a round, and the fewest wins.
Point limit
The score that ends the game once any player reaches it. Usually 25.
